Automatic validation of games for engines other than Screenscraper

When you scrape with engines other than Screenscraper (Launchbox, GOG, MobyGames etc…), if matches are found, a selection popup offers you to select the right game, even if there is only one only game found.

However, it is possible to automatically validate their game, when only one game is found, without displaying the selection popup.

To do this, you must configure ARRM as follows:

In the Scrape Options tab

  • Check the checkbox: Auto Validation Scrape
On engines other than Screenscraper, when a single game is found, the game selection is done automatically without displaying the choice window. Please note that the validated game may not be the one sought (game title close to that sought, etc.). If more than one game is found, the game selection window will appear if the option Ignore when # games > 1 is not checked. (see below)

If several games are found for the same ROM, you can ask to automatically skip this game, in order to avoid the appearance of the popup, by doing as follows:

  • Check the checkbox: Ignore when # games > 1
When Auto Validation Scrape is checked, if more than one game is found, the game selection window will not appear if the option Ignore when # games > 1. The game will be skipped and not scraped.
