Download HyperBat Themes on Screenscraper

Since version ARRM 2.0.3.7 beta 2, it is possible to download HyperBat themes.

These HyperBat themes are the work of BobMorane, Dav, Roni, and the many contributors who make up their community. They have created a multitude of themes to illustrate games.

At their request, these HyperBat themes have been made available on Screenscraper by MarbleMad or are currently being uploaded.
This theme is compatible with Batocera and Retrobat.

On the next screen, in the Settings tab, then Folders, scroll to the bottom of the list.

In the 'HyperBat Theme' textbox, specify the folder where you want to save your miniatures.

By default, ARRM creates the directory

will take the value of the system currently being scraped.

HyperBat themes in .zip format will be downloaded by ARRM and extracted into folders named after the ROM file:

Thanks to the API provided by Screenscraper, it is possible to download themes for games (if the theme has been created and made available on Screenscraper).

To retrieve the HyperBat theme for a specific game, you need to check HyperBat Theme in the Image Options tab.

If you only want to retrieve the theme and keep your other existing media, configure the Image Options tab as shown below:

Then launch your scrape on Screenscraper.

To avoid rescraping everything, you can select the ROMs that don't have a HyperBat theme.

After loading the desired system, click on the Database tab, then the Select tab, and then the Missing HyperBat Theme button.

The ROMs without a HyperBat theme will be selected (highlighted). You will then need to run the scrape, which will be applied to the selected ROMs.

If you select a ROM for which a HyperBat theme has been uploaded by ARRM, you can view the screenshot.jpg of the associated theme by clicking the HB button. The image will open in your default image viewer.
